This January marked the 10th annual Winter X Games at Aspen/Snowmass, Thursday, Jan. 26 through Sunday, Jan. 29. Jeep has been a proud sponsor of the X Games since their founding in 2002. I mean, what vehicle to better get athletes out and about around the mountain top games than the rugged, powerful Jeep line of SUVs.
“The exceptional athletes that participate in the Winter X Games truly embody the spirit of the Jeep brand and its core values of freedom, adventure, authenticity and passion; the dedication and commitment to compete in these games is phenomenal,” said Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “This is the Jeep brand’s 10th year at the Winter X Games and each year we are energized by the opportunity to engage with a broad array of consumers who, like the Jeep brand, enjoy living their life fully and on their own terms.”
Besides 2 new commercials and event promotions, the Jeep brand will host the “Jeep Arctic Yeti Dig”, where contestants will dig in a giant pile of snow to find a key Jeep artifact. The first person to find the artifact will win a new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Arctic Edition vehicle.
If I had to tie my snowboard to any vehicles it would definitely be a new 2012 Jeep Wrangler, hardtop of course. It’s chilly up there; Bloomington Jeep Wranglers might be able to sport a soft top, but not at 20,000ft above sea level in Aspen!
