Chrysler 300 SRT8 is awesome

The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 and 2012 Dodge SRT8s were on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show. These muscle machines prove the Chrysler Dodge initiative to make hemi-powered high-performance vehicles.

The 2 new Dodges, 2012 Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket and the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee, are powered by the new 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, delivering 45 more horsepower and 50 more lb.-ft. of torque than the 6.1-liter Hemi V-8 it replaces — up 11 percent to 470 horsepower and up 12 percent to 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual transmission and a five-speed automatic is optional.

The Chrysler SRT8 signals a new era for Chrysler. The 465 horsepower 6.4 liter HEMI engine will take you from 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds and is more than enough to make one fall head over heels for the newest 300, but there is plenty more to keep you intrigued. Including mechanics that cut back to 4 of the 8 cylinders when you ease of the gas pedal to save you gas.

The interior is completely updated with luxurious finishing touches –nice trim, comfortable seats, and infotainment system and iPod integration. Garmin Navigation is optional, and I highly recommend it. There is a surplus of legroom, headroom, and trunk space.

If you want the 2012 Chrysler 300, Peoria dealer, Sam Leman, had a wide variety of new and used Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. Peoria used Chrysler dealer can tell you about the evolution of the reintroduced 2005 Chrysler to the 2012 Chrysler SRT8.
